Godrej Industries Limited is planning to undertake an expansion project for its Synthetic Organic Chemicals manufacturing facility located at Additional Ambernath, MIDC, Anand Nagar, in Thane district, Maharashtra. The proposed expansion aims to enhance the company's production capacity to 50,700 tonnes per annum (TPA), thereby strengthening its presence in the specialty and performance chemicals sector. The project, with an estimated investment of Rs. 800 million, is designed to incorporate advanced manufacturing technology, improved process efficiency, and sustainable operational practices to minimize environmental impact. Construction activities for the expansion are scheduled to commence in January 2026 and are expected to be completed by July 2027. The development is part of Godrej Industries' long-term growth strategy to cater to increasing domestic and international market demand. As of October 2025, the project proposal has been submitted to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC), Government of India, and is currently under environmental clearance review.
