# SMTP Configuration Fix

## Current Configuration (from .env):
- MAIL_HOST=smtpout.secureserver.net
- MAIL_PORT=465
- MAIL_ENCRYPTION=ssl
- MAIL_USERNAME=info@dextratechnologies.com
- MAIL_MAILER=smtp

## Common Issues and Solutions:

### 1. Incorrect Password
The most common issue is an incorrect email password. Update your .env file:
```
MAIL_PASSWORD=your_correct_email_password
```

### 2. Alternative GoDaddy SMTP Settings
Try these alternative GoDaddy SMTP configurations:

#### Option A (TLS on port 587):
```
MAIL_HOST=smtpout.secureserver.net
MAIL_PORT=587
MAIL_ENCRYPTION=tls
MAIL_USERNAME=info@dextratechnologies.com
MAIL_PASSWORD=your_password
```

#### Option B (No encryption on port 25):
```
MAIL_HOST=smtpout.secureserver.net
MAIL_PORT=25
MAIL_ENCRYPTION=null
MAIL_USERNAME=info@dextratechnologies.com
MAIL_PASSWORD=your_password
```

### 3. Use Gmail SMTP (Alternative)
If GoDaddy continues to fail, switch to Gmail:
```
MAIL_HOST=smtp.gmail.com
MAIL_PORT=587
MAIL_ENCRYPTION=tls
MAIL_USERNAME=your_gmail@gmail.com
MAIL_PASSWORD=your_app_password
```

### 4. For Development - Use Mail Log
Temporarily disable email sending for development:
```
MAIL_MAILER=log
```

## Steps to Fix:
1. Update .env with correct credentials
2. Run: php artisan config:cache
3. Test the email functionality
4. If still failing, try alternative SMTP settings above

## Testing SMTP Connection:
You can test SMTP connection with:
```bash
php artisan tinker
```
Then run:
```php
use Illuminate\Support\Facades\Mail;
Mail::raw('Test email', function($message) {
    $message->to('test@example.com')->subject('Test');
});
```
