# ISSUE RESOLVED: Trusts Now Show in Admin Review Panel

## Problem
When a lawyer finishes setting up a trust and clicks the finish button, it should redirect to the admin panel. However, the admin wills list page at `/admin/wills` only displayed **Wills**, not **Trusts**. This meant completed trusts were not appearing for admin review.

## Solution Implemented

### 1. Modified AdminController::wills() Method
**File:** `app/Http/Controllers/AdminController.php`

**Changed:** The `wills()` method now fetches BOTH wills and trusts, combines them, and displays them in a unified list.

```php
// Now queries both Will and Trust models
$wills = Will::with('client')->latest();
$trusts = Trust::with('client')->latest();
// Combines results, sorts by date, paginates
// Each document gets a 'document_type' attribute ('will' or 'trust')
```

### 2. Updated Admin Wills Index View
**File:** `resources/views/admin/wills/index.blade.php`

**Changed:** The table now handles both wills and trusts with appropriate display logic:
- Shows trust type badge with vault icon for trusts
- Shows will type (individual/joint) for wills
- Routes to correct detail page
- Displays appropriate creator info (agent/lawyer/system)
- Shows trust name alongside client name for trusts

### 3. Modified showWill() Method in AdminController
**File:** `app/Http/Controllers/AdminController.php`

**Changed:** The method now detects if the ID is for a trust (ends with `-trust`) or a will:
- Wills: Display with full will details (testator, executor, beneficiaries, etc.)
- Trusts: Display with trust details (trustees, beneficiaries, assets, allowances)

### 4. Enhanced Admin Wills Show Blade
**File:** `resources/views/admin/wills/show.blade.php`

**Changed:** The view now has conditional logic to display either will or trust content:
- Header shows "Will" or "Trust" document type
- Will-specific buttons (upload signature, assign lawyer, approve) only show for wills
- Trust-specific content displays in @else section
- Both show formatted document preview with print capability

## Key Features

✅ **Unified Dashboard** - Both wills and trusts in one admin review list
✅ **Type Indicators** - Clear visual indicators (vault icon for trusts, file icon for wills)
✅ **Smart Routing** - Automatically routes to correct detail view
✅ **Preserved Functionality** - All existing will features remain unchanged
✅ **Proper Pagination** - Combined results properly paginated

## How It Works

### Admin Wills List Page Flow:
1. Lawyer finishes trust setup → Redirects to admin panel
2. Admin sees `/admin/wills` page
3. Both wills and trusts appear in the same table
4. Each row shows document type, status, creator, and dates
5. Click "View" button to see full details

### Detail Page Flow:
1. **For Wills:** Shows traditional will document with all will-specific fields
2. **For Trusts:** Shows trust document with trustees, beneficiaries, assets, allowances

## Database & Routing
- No database changes needed
- Existing routes work seamlessly
- Trust ID is appended with `-trust` for distinction in URLs
- Both documents use the same display route: `/admin/wills/{id}`

## Testing Checklist
- [x] Trusts appear in admin wills list
- [x] Wills continue to display normally
- [x] Trust detail page shows correctly
- [x] Will detail page shows correctly
- [x] Pagination works with combined results
- [x] Status filters work for both types
- [x] Search functionality compatible

## Future Enhancements
- Add filter to show only wills or only trusts
- Add separate actions for trust approval workflow
- Add trust-specific report generation
- Track trust setup vs will completion separately in dashboards
